Why are you still looking at a 2state solution? That should have been consigned to the bin even before 7/10 they don’t want 2 states. They want one called Palestine and free of “European Jews”
There has to be another solution and working with Islamic states is not going to turn out well for Israel. That’s my honest opinion.
As for the hostages, the pressure should be on Qatar who own the Hamas leadership, their finances and their propaganda!
The reason people keep coming back to the two state solution is that nobody has come up with a different idea on how to end the conflict. I do not believe in the two state solution in my lifetime, but maybe eventually
There are other ways. What about creating a kind of emirate under Israeli sovereignty. Maybe Palestinian tribal leaders can rule every village and city unarmed with Israeli overall governance. Of course they won’t agree but sometimes you have to treat them like spoiled kids which they are. They have been supplied with everything they need via UNWRA and UN. They will have to work for themselves like everyone else.
Can you enforce it? Probably. There will and are mayors of towns who will be happy to be the “boss” except Israel will be the overall authority. And anyway, something different has to be tried……
