If the Israeli government truly believes regime change is possible, if needs to rein in the absurd rhetoric from the idiotic FM Katz, threatening to target Iranian residential districts if Iran keeps hitting residential areas in Israel.

The smart rhetoric from every perspective would be to say the opposite: that despite the indiscriminate nature of Iranian ballistic missile attacks, Israel will NOT retaliate against civilians, because it holds no enmity to the Iranian people, just the regime that keeps them captive.

Attacking residential areas would anyway be an absurd waste of military resources…

A question. Does Israel have ballistic missiles, and if so, why are they not being used?

It has a small number of ballistic missiles that are relatively old and not precise. We launch the equivalent of ballistic missiles from planes. Since they are already at height they can be much smaller. Whether Israel should establish a missile corps had been an area of dispute within the military and the government over the last ten years

On second thought, another question. If Israeli ballistic missiles are old and imprecise, on what would Israel place the nuclear warheads that we may or may not have in the last resort?

Also, launching from planes requires pilots and perhaps crews, which are then at risk. Missiles don't need those, and don't need to be refueled over Syria.

You are arguing the points made in the discussion, on the other hand look what happened now, we have lost no air crews
